Elopement is a marriage which is conducted in a sudden and secretive fashion, sometimes involving a hurried flight away from one’s place of residence together with one’s beloved with the intention of getting married without parental approval.

These days an elopement is often done not to avoid parental consent, but to simply avoid a lot of the stress, confusion and expense of a larger wedding with its seemingly endless guest list. A typical Elopement at Palm Springs Wedding Chapel includes no more that 4 guests in the Chapel. If your heart is set on a small group of friends and family our Chapel can comfortably seat 20 guests. Another option would be to take the whole crew to Joshua Tree Monument. A full chapel or the serene desert vibe of Joshua Tree, either way we’re now looking at a Micro-Wedding and not a true Elopement. Remember, Elopement means small, intimate, private. In our Chapel or another venue, you make the choice, we’ll make it happen.

Next, we have Micro-Weddings. You’ve probably already figured this one out by the name and my previous reference to one. A Micro-Wedding is simply a smaller, less elaborate wedding than the $10,000.00 plus that today’s larger weddings typically cost. A typical micro wedding is around 20 guests or fewer. Although we specialize in Micro-Weddings, we do have venues that can accommodate up 100 guests. These specialty venues are known as “Pop-up” wedding venues.

“Pop-Up” Weddings are venues that one would not typically associate with holding a wedding ceremony. Such venues would include private luxurious estates, a secluded enclave in a lush public park, a local “hot spot”, a mountain lake or Air-B-N-B.
